In the early 2000s, a feature in Amar Ujala captured a quiet revolution unfolding across India — foreign buyers from America, Australia, Europe and beyond were discovering the magic of Indian handmade bags. Artisans working with jute, cotton, canvas and leather were creating pieces that stopped people in their tracks at trade fairs.
Ekta was in that world — surrounded by craftsmanship, watching the world fall in love with what India's hands could create. That experience planted a seed. A belief that these pieces deserved to be seen not just at trade fairs, but in the hands of women around the world, every single day.
That belief became Continuum Accessories.
Continuum was born from a simple but powerful idea — that an accessory is never just an accessory. It is an expression of who you are, what you carry with you, and how you choose to show up in the world.
We built Continuum to bridge the richness of Indian craftsmanship with the modern woman's lifestyle. Every bag in our collection is handpicked for its quality, its character, and the story it tells. Some businesses are built from opportunity. Ekta built hers from love—love for craftsmanship, family, and the belief that true passion always finds its way back.
Her journey with handcrafted evening bags began in India in 2004, when she launched her first venture exporting artisan-made bags to customers across the world. Built entirely from the ground up, it quickly became something deeply personal and rewarding.
Then life, as it often does, had other plans.
In 2006, when her then-fiancé received an opportunity to move to Singapore, Ekta made the difficult decision to leave behind the thriving business she had built and begin a new chapter abroad. She handed the business over to her parents and moved, carrying with her both excitement for the future and a deep connection to the craft she loved.
And that connection never faded.
For years, Ekta travelled between Singapore and India, personally managing shipments and staying closely involved with the artisans and craftsmanship she had grown to cherish. When her son, Aamev, was born, constant travel was no longer possible—but stepping away from her passion was never an option.
Instead, she chose to begin again.
In Singapore, Ekta founded Continuum Accessories—named after her son, whose name symbolizes something infinite and boundless. It was a reflection of everything she believed in: that true passion has no borders.
What began with small local exhibitions gradually grew through perseverance, word of mouth, and an unwavering commitment to celebrating handcrafted Indian artistry. Today, Continuum Accessories is stocked in leading hotels and retail stores across Singapore and is loved by women from around the world.
Every bag carries a piece of Ekta’s journey—from the hands of skilled artisans in India to women who wear them for life’s most special moments.
What started as a passion for Indian craftsmanship has grown into a brand now shipping worldwide, with a community of women across continents who share our love for thoughtfully made accessories.
